Targeting Freshwater Bonefish

Yes, BT’s Fly Tying Friday returns on 3 December 2021 at 6:00 PM Mountain with his presentation of the Carp Coachman. Jarett runs Sierra Mountain Trout Guide Service in and around Big Pine, California (760-263-5013). As you can tell from the business name, his main focus is guiding trout anglers but he also manages to extend his customer offering by focusing on carp for part of the year. Not only are carp a challenging target but they are a lot of fun to catch.
Gretchen and Al will follow Jarett’s presentation with two of our own patterns; Gretchen will tie the trout version of LaFontaine’s Sparkle Pupa then Al will tie his carp version of the same fly. Al’s version is very successful at tricking carp in the Snake River south of Boise. Join the three of us to enjoy a fun evening while we tie flies to target “the freshwater bonefish” and beyond!
